WordMine 2 is designed for learners at all levels who want to improve their range and control of new vocabulary. The series is comprised of courses to practice general vocabulary, and 22 specialized subject areas, and will help students master hundreds of new words in context.

Hours of Content: 330 Hours – 6500 Words (Vocabulary for General English); 25 Hours – 500 Words (Vocabulary for ESP Areas); 150 Hours – 3000 Words (Medical Vocabulary)

About WordMine

WordMine offers a flexible, effective way to increase English vocabulary in just 15 minutes a day.

The course uses adaptive learning technology to help students focus on words they don’t know, and tracks their knowledge of meaning, written form and spoken form.

WordMine is an ideal supplement to any learning programme and is suitable for private language school, corporate and academic environments.

Vocabulary for General English is recommended to all learners who need to boost their overall vocabulary range alongside a general English course of study. Students who require more focused list coverage can choose from up to 22 specialist-subject areas to match their needs in a business context, or their discipline.

The WordMine System

WordMine employs a spaced repetition learning system to introduce new vocabulary and provide repeated and varied practice of words in the study cycle ensuring long-term retention. WordMine allows students to learn at their own pace. Sessions can be started and interrupted at any point, and students can then pick up where they left off.

Lesson Flow

The structure of WordMine allows students to study at their own pace, take a break, and simply pick up where they left of.

A short level check at the start of the course ensures learners are working at the correct level.

Students are presented with new words and begin to create a bank of vocabulary items to learn.

New words are practiced in a variety of ways, covering meaning, written forms, and spoken forms.

Students can view training results to monitor their progress.
